Can We Be FRANK? ADHD Hot Takes (The Light-Hearted Half)

Can We Be FRANK? ADHD Hot Takes (The Light-Hearted Half)

Sometimes the best conversations happen when you don’t have a script — and this week’s episode of Burnt Out Perfectionist proves it. We let our ADHD brains roam free and got frank about the little things: socks, shirts, coffee, and the unspoken “rules” of adulting… all with our usual mix of honesty, chaos, and sisterly humour.

Why “FRANK”?

Life with ADHD rarely sticks to one lane, so a hot-takes format felt right. “Being frank” lets us rant about the tiny battles (and inside jokes) you DM us about, while keeping the vibe totally unfiltered and fun.

What We Covered in This Episode

Without giving it all away (because you should definitely listen for the full experience 😉), here’s a taste:

  • The Great Sock Debate: why no-show socks are ✨not✨ the move 🧦
  • Fashion hot takes: crop tops + low-rise jeans… we have notes 👖
  • Sleep & underwear: do what you want — but we’re talking about it 😂
  • Coffee confessions: convenience vs. coffee-snob energy ☕
  • Adulting “rules” no one taught us: sheets, showers, and why everyone’s advice conflicts

It’s messy, funny, and strangely comforting — basically ADHD life in podcast form.

Why It Matters

Hot-take episodes aren’t just silly fun (though there’s plenty of that). They’re a reminder that ADHD brains don’t move in straight lines — and that sharing the little annoyances we all feel can make everything feel lighter. The “oh my gosh, SAME” moments are where the connection happens.

Next Week: Part Two (Spicier, a Little More Serious)

This week is the light side of our unpopular opinions. Next Monday, we’re digging into the more serious (and maybe controversial) ones — the stuff that gets group chats buzzing. Come ready to agree, disagree, and laugh with us anyway.
