This week marks two important milestones for us—Burnt Out Perfectionist turns two, and we also observe the three-year anniversary of our father’s passing. To commemorate both, we’ve decided to re-release and re-edit our series on grief. Grief is something we all experience differently, and as sisters with ADHD, our journeys have been uniquely shaped by our personalities, family dynamics, and, of course, our experience with loss.

 In this special series, we’re diving deep into how we each navigated the pain of losing our father. We explore how grief shows up differently for each of us—not just because of our generational differences, but because of our own unique ways of processing emotions. This is our chance to bring you along on our journey and show you the ups and downs of loss, with a good dose of humor, honesty, and reflection.

Monday's Episode: Grief, Sibling Bond, & Losing Our Dad: A Personal Journey

This emotional journey explores how each of us grieves differently, offering an intimate look at our individual processes. We take you through the timeline of our father's life—from our parents’ marriage to the event that set off a domino effect, ultimately leading to his passing.

The episode also dives into the night of his death and the days that followed. Eve recalls a moment of frustration when she hilariously assaulted a party platter, showcasing the raw emotions that came with the sudden loss. We also touch on the societal expectations surrounding grief—how people think you should behave after losing a loved one, and how those expectations don’t always align with what you’re actually feeling.
